The Cisco® GLC-LX-SM-RGD is a rugged, industry-standard Small Form-Factor Pluggable (SFP) Gigabit Interface Converter. This hot-swappable I/O device fits seamlessly into a Gigabit Ethernet port or slot, enabling network connectivity through the port. It supports a wide range of Cisco networking equipment and can be mixed and matched with SFP modules such as 1000BASE-SX, 1000BASE-LX/LH, 1000BASE-ZX, and 1000BASE-BX10-D/U—on a per-port basis.

The 1000BASE-LX/LH SFP is designed for both single-mode and multimode fiber applications. It complies with the IEEE 802.3z 1000BASE-LX standard, delivering reliable performance on single-mode fiber up to 10 km and multimode fiber up to 550 m.
